Healthy Body,
Healthy Mind.

"This is My Place"

Today marks the start of Children’s Mental Health Week (9–15 February), and at The Steel Spoon, we are incredibly excited to support this year’s theme: "This is My Place".

This theme is all about fostering a sense of belonging within our communities, schools, and families. We believe that for a child to feel they truly belong and flourish, we must nurture both their bodies and their minds.

Launching our "Apple-a-Day" Initiative

To recognise the vital link between a healthy body and a healthy mind, we are launching a week-long initiative starting today. For every child who enjoys a meal with The Steel Spoon, we will be providing an apple a day, every day this week.

  • Encourage Healthy Habits: Promoting nutritious choices from an early age.
  • Spark Conversation: Using this small gesture to get educators, parents, and children talking about wellbeing.
Get Involved

Creating an environment where children feel they belong is a team effort. You can find a wealth of official resources, including toolkits for schools and families, below.

Previous Campaigns

Before the Bell Initiative

That was the core belief behind Affinity Workforce Education’s Before the Bell campaign, and it is why The Steel Spoon was incredibly proud to serve as their catering provider.

This collaboration marked a significant milestone for us as we took our operations national to support this vital cause.

Throughout the initiative, we mobilised our logistics network to deliver thousands of fresh breakfast packs daily to students in some of the UK’s most deserving communities.

It was a privilege to play our part in fuelling the future, ensuring that every child in the programme started their day ready to learn.
